Whiskey is a huge cuddler who loves to snuggle with his person. A loving, easygoing “Netflix and chill” kind of guy, he enjoys car rides and gets along well with dogs of any size.
He was raised in the house and is crate trained. He was previously potty trained, but may need a refresher as he settles into his new home, since he was an intact male until recently. He is super smart, and I expect him to pick it back up with patience and a consistent routine.
Whiskey is current on his vaccinations, has recently been neutered and has had a full dental. He is ready to go home.

Murphy

Murphy is a Teddy Roosevelt Terrier I raised, and he is such a joy to be around. He came back to me after his previous owner shared that the return was through no fault of his own. Now we are taking our time to find the home that is truly right for him.
This smart, affectionate boy loves being with his person. Head outside for an activity and he is ready to join you; settle onto the couch afterward and he wants to settle in beside you. That wonderful companionship is one of the reasons I chose to raise Teddy Roosevelt Terriers alongside my Dachshunds. They also have that classic terrier interest in little critters such as mice and gophers.
Murphy gets along well with other dogs, rides well in the car, and is house trained and crate trained. He has just completed a refresher course with his trainer, Shiloh, and knows sit, stay, and leave it. The video below shows him working with her and putting those skills into practice.
He learns quickly and loves showing off what he knows. I think he would have so much fun learning tricks with someone who enjoys teaching him. His next family needs to be committed to practicing his basics, continuing his socialization, and taking him out to experience the world with them. I have arranged for a few virtual sessions with Shiloh to help his new family keep his training going.
I am very selective about where my dogs go, especially when one has come back to me. There is no rush to place Murphy. We are looking for someone who will invest the time, attention, and love to help this wonderful boy keep thriving. The right home is worth waiting for.

Ready for their new home
Before leaving 3R, every retired dog is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and given a dental.
A thoughtful match
Meeting the dog in person is preferred whenever possible, although it is not required. The goal is always to make the best match for both the dog and the family.
Three-week trial period
The full adoption fee is paid before the dog goes home. The first three weeks are a trial period so the family and dog have time to settle in and make sure the placement is a good fit.
Our lifelong promise
Every 3R dog will always have a home here.
If a placement does not work out—during the trial period or years later—the dog can always come back to 3R. After the dog is placed in another suitable home, I will refund the portion of the adoption fee I am able to recover. The refund may be less than the original fee, depending on the dog's health, condition and needs when returned.
